Huh! An artist.

Glad I waited before reviewing this, because it's turned out to be one of the few Flashes I've seen here that gets even better on repeat viewing. Particularly love the main character's voice, just a brilliant parody of the typical American voice dub.

I was tempted to give it a 9 just so you wouldn't think you'd mastered this genre of parody and quit, but after seeing it again, I've just got to risk the full score and hope you'll do more of these anyway.

Amusing interpretation of a good nutty song

Many elements of this are brilliant, I was particularly fond of the Valkyrie chorus. I like the way you synced animations to the scratching, that was very effective.

I think it could benefit from having an overall story (like the first official video by the Avalanches) or theme (like their second video version) tying together the separate elements, and keeping the viewer interested through some of the repeated parts.

Still, the animation was amusing enough and the song good enough to keep me watching this one all the way through.

Smooth

Ah that is a nice soundtrack. I wasn't all that into the art/animation until the dudes with the box (?!) heads showed up: nice drawing on them, and I like the stylized b&w effects you got in parts of that brief fight scene, like when the hero goes all silhouette on us.

Thanks smbhax
i designed them to be like an abstract gang with robot masks.
i was thinking of doing a sequel to this, wht do you guys think?
thanks

Yes

This should happen to more voice actors!

Hm I suppose I include myself in that.

>_>

Not flashy but solid art and a good punchline. Hah! Ah-hah...hah... Don't hurt me.

Some nice stuff

I really like the lighting and the pacing at the beginning, along with the music. It got less interesting for me as it switched over to live action and color, and I was disappointed that it didn't seem to end up having much of a plot/resolution--either that or it was just to subtle for me to notice!

Would definitely like to see more claymation with lighting like you used in the beginning.

Pretty neat

Really cool as it starts off, then the initial rush ends and it kind of feels like it's just more of the same until the end. Could be very cool if paced well, and if the whole board filled in and...I dunno...activated or something? Well, I'm no engineer. :P

I noticed that a few of the circuits seemed to overlap just slightly, but overall very clean, and rather impressive for an animated geometric drawing. The drawing and camera work shows some nice technique, you could definitely do more with this sort of thing.

Great KOF tribute

This is brilliant. I love the authentic interface and costumes, and you guys really did the moves pretty well. The one thing that didn't quite seem to fit was going from screen to screen during a match, which was a little hard to follow; would have been better if you could have scrolled from side to side, or just stayed on a single screen. Other than that, fantastic! Please make more. :)

Catsup-Group responds:

We have to go from screen to screen because the actors can't remember a full match with an active camera. And we also don't have a little car for the camera to move from side to side...
